Kitten Contract

General Notes

The below are rules that must be followed for anyone wishing to adopt a kitten from Mod Millennial Designs: Ashton's Angels Ragdolls. Codes of Conduct are standard across breeders to protect the Breeder, the Buyer, and the Baby Kittens.

Ragdolls are a delicate breed! Under NO circumstances is this kitten allowed to roam outdoors or be declawed. Ragdolls do not have survival instincts, which is why they have the coveted and desirable Ragdoll Temperament.

Comprehensive Health Guarantees

Upon pick-up of a new kitten, please, conduct a veterinarian health check within 48 hours of picking up the kitten to confirm that the kitten is in good health. Avoiding health validation by a veterinarian professional on the buyer's part will forfeit the following guarantees:

Guaranteed Health Upon Pick-up

• I guarantee the kitten to be healthy at the time of purchase for 72 hours. If it is found that there is a health question, the buyer has 48 hours after the
veterinary exam in which to ask for a kitten replacement. The request must accompany a letter from the veterinarian stating why the kitten’s health is in question.

Health Certificates and Vet Papers Provided Upon Pick-up

• Health certificates, spay/neuter records, fecal exam results, physical exam results, and vaccination records will be issued not older than 2 days after the kitten will arrive at the new home. At the time of pickup, this kitten has been fully
vaccinated and dewormed.

The kitten will have had a total of 3 veterinary exams minimum:
- 1st Round of Vaccinations & Full Physical Exam

- 2nd Round of Vaccinations & Full Physical Exam

- 3rd Round of Vaccinations & Full Physical Exam & Neuter/Spay Surgery (Please, keep in mind that the kitten must be at least 4 months old to safely have their surgery.)

HCM Health Guarantee

My breeding Queen and King are both double negative for HCM, (which means they cannot pass the HCM gene to their kittens) but I have a health guarantee against HCM, also.

Genetic guarantees are as follows: Against hereditary HCM or PKD for two years. If the kitten should be diagnosed with HCM (genetic) by their second birthday, I will replace the kitten with a similar kitten when one becomes available. A certified cardiologist must diagnose the kitten and the reports must be sent to
me. If the kitten should die unexpectedly within 2 years of age, a necropsy must be performed and sent to me with specific findings by a University in order to receive a new kitten.

General Health Guarantee

If the kittens should unexpectedly pass away within two years of age, the cause of death must be determined to be outside of the control of the buyer (i.e. a genetic issue) and not due to buyer negligence. If a new kitten will replace this kitten because of the guarantees, the breeder will pay the cost of vaccinations, passport rabies, and spay/neuter. However, if shipping is necessary, that will be at the cost of the buyer. There will be no cash refunds.

Your Responsibilities as a Ragdoll Parent

- This kitten should not be allowed to roam outdoors. If you allow your Ragdoll baby, you do so at your own risk.
- The kitten will under no circumstances be resold.
- If you decide for any reason that you don’t want the kitten, the kitten shall be
returned to the breeder where she will find another suitable forever home.
- There will only be a replacement kitten in the event of health issues found by a
licensed veterinarian or in the event of a death related to genetic health
issues.
- There are no cash refunds once the contract has been executed and the kitten
delivered/picked up. There is no clause for buyer's remorse. Ragdolls are an expensive and valuable breed due to the exceptional care in breeding excellent temperaments and prioritizing the best veterinary care possible.
- Under no circumstances shall this kitten be surrendered to a shelter.
- Under no circumstances shall this kitten be abandoned.
- Under no circumstances shall this kitten be declawed.
- Under no circumstances shall this kitten be given any additional vaccinations
(other than those already given) except the Rabies Vaccine that is elective every year. The kitten will have already received their first Rabies Vaccine, by the time of pick-up.

Please, take excellent care of your new Ragdoll baby kitten! They are raised with utmost love and care and treated like my own pets. They require much love and stimulation every day!
